I've played poker seriously for over 20 years. Live cash games, online grinds, big tournaments. But the games I genuinely look forward to most? Friday nights with my family. Dealer's choice.
Someone picks Guts and suddenly everyone's arguing about whether to stay in. My uncle deals Baseball and we spend twenty minutes watching him flip cards one at a time, sweating every 3 and 9. Pass the Trash where you have to pass your best card and it physically hurts. Nobody's getting rich — but those nights are some of the best times I've ever had playing cards.
When we couldn't all be in the same room, I went looking for somewhere to play these games online. There was nothing. PokerStars and GGPoker don't have them. The few platforms that exist are clunky, incomplete, or charge you monthly for three variants and no wildcards.
I'm a developer by career — so I built it myself. Wild Card Night isn't trying to be PokerStars. It's trying to be that Friday night feeling, online, with people who actually want to play these games.
